RIMSKY-KORSAKOV Mlada – suite
RACHMANINOFF Piano Concerto No. 1 in F sharp minor (original version, 1891)
LYADOV Baba-Yaga; Kikimora; From the Apocalypse
GLAZUNOV Symphony No. 5 in B flat major

Vladimir Jurowski conducts an all-Russian concert of works whose world or UK premieres were given by Proms founder-conductor Henry Wood.

It features Rimsky-Korsakov’s dance-filled suite from his opera Mlada, Rachmaninov’s ebullient early piano concerto, a trio of colourful tone-poems by Lyadov and Glazunov’s heroic Fifth Symphony.
